The Ancient Coin Study Group of St Louis was established in 1979 and is one of the largest ancient coin clubs in the country.
  We boast of a membership of more than 300 members. We are supported and sponsored by the Missouri Numismatic Society and thanks to the MNS there are no dues.

     At each meeting we have an educational presentation (We've recently had presentations on: Coins of the 12 Caesars, Coins of Roman Egypt, Medieval Coins, Coins of Alexander the Great, etc).  “Show and tell” sessions offer the opportunity to discuss new acquisitions or to identify “mystery coins” that members and guests bring in.  Advanced collectors are happy to assist novice collectors with attribution, history, and provenance as well as collection ideas and strategy. Visitors should bring in their most challenging coins for identification and discussion. There is also a bourse for buying, selling and trading coins and antiquities before and after every meeting. Often times several club members will go out afterwards for coffee or snacks at nearby restaurants  to continue the discussions.

      Our New "St Louis Ancient Coin Study Group" Facebook Page is up and running.  Members can  post pictures of their favorite coins, new acquisitions, coins for attribution help, club meetings, coin shows, exhibits, etc.
